Community Ambassador

Every school within the Maritime Academy Trust has a Community Ambassador, a part-time role to bridge between the school and the community, helping everyone work together to ensure all children thrive.

Our aim through the Community Ambassador programme is:

Connect: Our Community Ambassador builds trusted relationships so they can understand the positives, needs, and challenges of our community. They guide parents to the right support, whether it’s local services, initiatives, or advice, and bring in community organisations and resources that benefit children and families.

Champion: Celebrating Greenacres in the wider community, sharing our story and creating lasting partnerships. By championing our school, our Community Ambassador helps to ensure Greenacres is a visible and active part of the community and opens up enriching opportunities for all families.

Collaborate: Our Community Ambassador works alongside parents, staff, and local organisations to make sure everyone has a voice and can contribute. They help plan and run projects, family activities, and community initiatives, so that together we build a welcoming, supportive, and connected community for everyone.
